Meet the Team

Josh Moore

Founding Partner

Josh brings over a decade of strategy consulting, business development, and operations management experience across various industries to his role as Founding Partner. Josh thrives in ambiguity and is excited about bringing order to chaos. His diverse experience includes steering high-impact projects, such as conducting market analyses, devising feasibility and go-to-market strategies, and managing complex business operations. His career spans industries including healthcare, sports & entertainment, e-commerce, fintech, consumer goods, and community growth. Josh is passionate about bringing teams together to accomplish a shared vision and he is biased towards taking action and always moving forward. Josh holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and spends his time training jiu jitsu, cooking new recipes, and sneaking up to the mountains as often as possible with his dog.

Duncan Hutchins

Founding Partner

Previously, Duncan was an Investor at Avesta Fund, focusing on Climate Tech and Future of Work industries and sourcing and moving opportunities through the diligence process to finalize investments. Before Avesta Fund, Duncan was a Strategic Advisor at Sensory Interactive, where he worked on projects such as launching a subsidiary venture, raising financing, and acquiring new markets. Duncan moved to Colorado in 2021 to pursue an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship, where he was a High-Growth Venture Fellow and a merit scholarship recipient. Duncan served as a Director at the Deming Center Venture Fund and was a two-time global finalist in the Venture Capital Investment Competition. While earning his MBA, he worked as a Venture Associate at Techstars Workforce Development, Access Venture Partners, Bear Creek Capital, and Buff Gold Ventures. Duncan attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied Management and Entrepreneurship and was a scholarship athlete. He received his MBA from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business.

Annika Pennington

Undergraduate Intern

Annika is a sophomore at the University of Kansas, majoring in Finance and Accounting. Relevant coursework such as emerging topics in business, managerial accounting, and finance has sparked her interest in private equity. Annika enjoys working with a team and building strong connections by working together towards a common goal. She enjoys searching for valuable opportunities and learning from the process. She values commitment and communication and strives to make meaningful contributions to Brandt Point Holdings. Based in Kansas City, Annika enjoys practicing yoga, getting involved on campus, and traveling whenever possible.

Matthew Edelman

Undergraduate Intern

Matthew is a sophomore at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, majoring in Finance and Real Estate. Through coursework in classes such as Financial Accounting and Business Economics, he has developed a strong interest in investment banking and private equity. Matthew enjoys the day-to-day communication involved in business and values building strong team connections. He is excited to work with the team to identify outstanding opportunities for the company and to be a valuable resource during the deal-making process. Matthew is passionate about actively bringing people together to achieve shared goals and hopes to make a positive impact on that at Brandt Point Holdings. Originally from New York, Matthew spends his free time playing lacrosse and exploring the automobile industry. He also enjoys going on biking adventures with friends and family.
